Gibson, Owens & Friends Masterclass Ticket - London, July 17th

Spend the day with two photographers with over 30 years combined experience in music photography, having worked with some of the very biggest artists in the business.

Starting out in the industry, we found that university didn’t really prepare us to pursue a career in music photography. We had a passion, and we knew how to take good photos, but we didn’t yet have the tools to land the gigs we really wanted to be shooting, yet alone the know-how to succeed commercially.

Fast-forward a few years, and we’re now touring with and shooting our favourite artists as a full-time career. For the first time, we’re bringing together everything we’ve learned over the years into a one-day Masterclass. We’ll be sharing our best tips on establishing yourself in the music industry, touring as a music photographer, and working with magazines. Expect to hear about the things you really need to know to succeed in (and enjoy) this career, including surviving tour life, managing a portfolio career as a freelancer, how to keep magazine editors happy, and loads more.

Please be aware this isn’t an absolute beginners’ course, and so some understanding of music photography is essential. However if you’d like a course on starting out with the basics of photographing music, please drop us a line, and we may introduce this as a future course.

The Masterclass will run from 10am-4pm, consisting of a morning session, lunch break and afternoon practical session. We'll probably go to the pub afterwards.
